Alison Foster BDS

Alison Foster (BDS) qualified as a dental practitioner at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, University of Sheffield, in 1993 after doing her first degree, in Genetics, also at the University of Sheffield in 1989. She spent the first part of her career in hospital dentistry, initially as a house officer, then senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Sheffield and Doncaster, dealing with facial injuries such as broken jaws and cheek bones, facial lacerations, wisdom tooth removal and cancer surgery. She then went into general practice completing her Vocational Training year in Mexborough and has been working in general dental practice ever since, working for 22 years in the NHS in Sheffield, Doncaster and Derbyshire, before going into private practice.

Alison enjoys the company on her friends, family, nieces, nephews and goddaughters, and likes to fit in her Zumba and Pound classes after work to wind down. She loves cars & music and likes to relax by going for drives in the peak district or at home with her cats.

Alison’s relaxed and chatty persona helps put all her patients at ease.
